Non-perishable items or items that are non-biodegradable stay on earth without decomposing, over a very long period of time, posing threat to the environment and creatures alike. Depositing such items or trash along the coast or anywhere else, without disposing them off in a responsible manner – such as by recycling, should be discouraged and stopped.

Educating the public regarding the dangers of depositing non-perishable items carelessly, is the best way to control this. Banners and notices along beaches that point out the dangers of pollution, of our oceans as well as earth, should be highlighted on these and ways to dispose such items should also be clearly shown.
