The problems and solutions in the electoral process of India are as follows :

Problems:

-Rigging of poll booths.

-Buying of votes via bribery.

-Campaigning with embezzled or unjustified money.

-Populism

-Parties in India follow caste politics where parties give the ‘ticket’ to a person who is from a scheduled caste so that in his/ her constituency, he is sure to win, entrenching power in only one caste.

Solutions:

- installing of CCTV cameras outside polling booths.

- strict cheque on the ballot boxes in jails.

- strict cheque on the RO's who transfer these papers. Their background checking must be done.

- Use of electronic bio-metric way of e voting to be introduced.

- deployment of security forces to prevent riots during elections.
