After a disaster strikes an area, the rescue team should take up rescue operations immediately. They should evacuate the place and ask the local community to stay away from the area as they may be a hindrance to the rescue operation or they may be in danger.

The team members should work in cooperation. The search and rescue work should be done in an organized way. Three major factors should be planned - Man power, Rescue equipment, and Method of rescue.
