Suggest remedy if standard sand is not available for cement mortar cube

If standard sand is not available for cement mortar cube, We can use a slightly richer mixture of OPC ( Ordinary Portland Cement ).  Generally a cement mortar cube contains sand, cement and water mixed together in the correct proportions.   One must take ample care during the use and setting up of OPC to make sure cement is in good shape.
