The Indian Judiciary is one of the strongest functioning judiciary in the world, but yet it has many backlogs.

It can be removed or improved in the following few ways.

1. Addition of more judges- As in accordance with the population pressure, the number of judges in the courts are not in proportion. The Indian Judicial system needs more judges in the apex courts and the subordinate courts for quicker judgements.

2. Fast track courts should be the next target so that some cases which need immediate action, can go upto the supreme court instantly.

3. The remuneration of the judges should be fixed high. It is for this salary and position that the judges will deliver their 100% if they have a job security.

4. After retirement facilities and pension must be assured and provided.

5. The executive and the legislature must stay away from the works of the judiciary to help them give impartial and uninfluenced verdicts.
