Among technological reforms the major initiatives are as follows:
-promotion of green revolution & white revolution.

-promotion of drip irrigation or other irrigation techniques for better production power supply for irrigation etc.
Among institutional reforms major initiatives are as follows:
-land reforms including collectivisation ,consolidation of landholding etc .financial assistance to farmers like subsidiary insurance against crop failure and personal harm etc.
-Establishment of advanced research institutions for the progress that is Indian council of agricultural research ,agricultural universities ,meteorological research units agricultural specific satellites launch etc.
-MSP for buy of surplus crops in protection from market exploitation.
