Area of four walls=2h(l+b)
=2 x 6(20+12)
=12 x 32
=384 m^2
no.of cans needed=384/96

He needs 4 cans of paint.

Given data :

Length of the room = 20m

Breadth of the room = 12m

Height of the room = 6m

So,the area of the four walls

= ( Perimeter of the floor × height)

= [{2×(20+12)}×6] m²

= (64×6) m²

= 384 m²

Now,

96 m² is painted by = 1 can

1 m² is painted by = 1/96 can

384 m² is painted by = 384/96 = 4 cans (answer)
