Santosh bought 400 eggs for Rs. 1500 from a wholesaler. HE spent Rs. 300 on transport. 50 eggs fell down and broke. He sold the rest of the eggs at Rs. 5 each. DId he make a profit or incur a loss? How much?

• Profit of 200 rupees:
• purchased by Suhas :-
• cost of 150 bunches = 450 rupees
• cost of one bunch = 450/150 = 3 rupees
• Sold by suhas :-
• according to question: out of 150 bunches 20 got spoilt
• so bunches left = 150-20 = 130
• selling price of one bunch (by Suhas) = 5 rupees.

• 1 quintal = 100 kg
• 23×100
• = 2300
• 2300-2225
• Answer = 75
