Explanation:

They two are non metals. They have 2 and 4 atoms in their valence shell, so they can't donate electrons and accept electrons but they share their electrons to form Covalent bond. Carbon atom shares it's 4 valence electrons to two sulfur atoms who themselves share their electrons to the carbon atom. Thereby, Carbon makes an octet of 2,8 and sulphur makes an octet 2,8,8.
