This reagent reacts with nitrite components of GSR.
1.
Process desensitized photographic paper with a mixture of 50% alpha-naphthol solution and 50% sulfanilic acid solution; allow paper to dry.

Place the evidence item, questioned side down, on the gelatin-coated side of the treated photographic paper.

Place a piece of cloth soaked in 15% glacial acetic acid solution on the questioned item, and press with a hot iron.
