Hello, mate!!

\underline{{ANSWER}}

Carbonate and sulphide ores are usually converted into oxides during the process of extraction using calcination and roasting process respectively because its easier to obtain a metal from its oxide as compared to sulphides and carbonates. So prior to reduction, metal carbonate and sulphide ores are converted into oxides using these two processes.☑️

Hope you got it ❗❗
