a/c to Question ,
sulphur and oxygen form two compounds .Let A and B
in A compound
sulphur = 51 %
so, oxygen = (100-51) = 49%
➡ ratio of percentage/atomic mass
of sulphur = 51/32 = 1.59375
of oxygen = 49/16 = 3.0625

➡ now divide both ratio to 1.59375
sulphur = 1.59375/1.59375 = 1
oxygen = 3.0625/1.59375 = 1.92

and in B compound ,
sulphur = 41%
oxygen = (100-41)% = 59%
➡ ratio of percentage/atomic mass
sulphur = 41/32 = 1.28125
oxygen = 59/16 =3.6875
➡ divide 1.28125 to both
sulphur = 1.28125/1.28125 = 1
oxygen = 3.6875/1.28125 = 2.878

now, According to Law of multiple proportions:- when two elements A and B combine chemically in different ways and form more then one chemical compound then different weights of A which combine with fixed weight of B , are in Simple ratio .

by using this concept
we took fix to suphur
now,
ratio of oxygen
= oxgygen in A/oxygen in B
= 1.92/2.878 ≈ 2/3
ratio = 2/3 is in simple ratio .
so, compound A and compound B satisfied law of multiple proportions.

Answer:

Explanation:

a/c to Question ,

sulphur and oxygen form two compounds .Let A and B

in A compound

sulphur = 51 %

so, oxygen = (100-51) = 49%

➡ ratio of percentage/atomic mass

of sulphur = 51/32 = 1.59375

of oxygen = 49/16 = 3.0625

➡ now divide both ratio to 1.59375

sulphur = 1.59375/1.59375 = 1

oxygen = 3.0625/1.59375 = 1.92

and in B compound ,

sulphur = 41%

oxygen = (100-41)% = 59%

➡ ratio of percentage/atomic mass

sulphur = 41/32 = 1.28125

oxygen = 59/16 =3.6875

➡ divide 1.28125 to both

sulphur = 1.28125/1.28125 = 1

oxygen = 3.6875/1.28125 = 2.878

now, According to Law of multiple proportions:- when two elements A and B combine chemically in different ways and form more then one chemical compound then different weights of A which combine with fixed weight of B , are in Simple ratio .

by using this concept

we took fix to suphur

now,

ratio of oxygen

= oxgygen in A/oxygen in B

= 1.92/2.878 ≈ 2/3

ratio = 2/3 is in simple ratio .

so, compound A and compound B satisfied law of multiple proportions.
