in vapour state sulfur has 2 electrons in the anti bonding pi orbital thereby showing paramagnetism just like O2

Sulphur in vapour state exhibits paramagnetism. In vapour state, sulphur partly exists as S2 molecule and has two unpaired electrons like O2 in the antibonding π-orbital. Hence, exhibits paramagnetism.
