Sulphur pieces donot react with cold concentrated nitric acid. But sulphur powder reacts. Why?​

Explanation:

Because HNO3 is a strong oxidising agent which can reduce sulphur pieces into water and hydrogen and liberate itself into any nitrogen oxides like N, No2....but itsnt possible in sulphur powder
