Answer:

When an iron nail immersed in the solution of copper sulphate than iron displaces copper from the solution of copper sulphate because iron is more reactive than copper. Therefore copper sulphate solution colour changes from blue to pale green.

Answer:

Copper sulphate is also known as blue vitriol and in hindi 'Neela Thotha'. The formula of Copper Sulphate is CuSO4. If you drop a iron nail in beaker, and leave it for half an hour, a green colour solution will be obtained.

The reaction is as follows :-

The reaction is as follows :-CuSO4 + Fe ------------> FeSO4 + Copper

Or

Copper Sulphate + Iron ------------> Iron Sulphate + Copper

The full form of Fe is Ferus( Greek name) of iron. Full form of cu is copper.
