But I'll anyways do this step:

an = a + (n-1)d

100 = 1 + (n-1)1

100 = 1 + n - 1

⇒ n = 100

Sum =  n

          ---- × (a + l)                              (l = an)

           2

       = 100

          ------  × (1 + 100)

            2

       = 50 × 101

∴ Sum = 5050
