Let the no. be x and y,

According to question:-

$x + y = 18.......(1)$

Also,

$x = 2y$

Put this value in (1),

$= > 2y + y = 18$

$= > 3y = 18$

$= > y = 6$

Now put this y=6 in (1),

we get,

$x + 6 = 18$

$= > x = 12$

Therefore, x=12 and y=6
