Let the number be x

x +  \frac{ 2}{3}  =  \frac{ - 4}{9}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 4}{9}  -  \frac{2}{3}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 4 - 6}{9}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 10}{9}

So another number = -10/9

JanaviK: Can you please explain
BloomingBud: -10/9 + 2/3 = lcm = 9 ,So,( -10+6)/9 = - 4/9
JanaviK: thank you
JanaviK: request one more..Difference between 2 rational number is 5/6,if one of them is 1/7 find the other
