Sum of two rational number =5/9
One of them =-1/3

Then,
other one =Sum of two rational number - One given number

So,
 =  \frac{5}{9}  - ( \frac{ - 1}{3} )  \\ =   \frac{5}{9}  +  \frac{1}{3}  \\  =  \frac{5 + 3}{9}  \\ =   \frac{8}{9}
Hence,
The second rational number =8/9
