Question - THE SUM OF FIRST THREE TERMS OF A.P. IS 15. IF THE SUM OF THEIR SQUARES IS 93, FIND THE A.P.
Solution :
a-d + a + a+d = 15
3a = 15
a = 5
(a-d)(a)(a+d) = 93
(25 - d2)5 = 93
125 - 5d2 = 93
-5d2 = -32
5d2 = 32
d2 = 32/5
d2 = 6.4
d2 = 6.4
d = 8/root 10
Ap = 5 - 8/root 10,5,5 + 8/root 10
Solution :
a-d + a + a+d = 15
3a = 15
a = 5
(a-d)(a)(a+d) = 93
(25 - d2)5 = 93
125 - 5d2 = 93
-5d2 = -32
5d2 = 32
d2 = 32/5
d2 = 6.4
d2 = 6.4
d = 8/root 10
Ap = 5 - 8/root 10,5,5 + 8/root 10
