nth term of an AP = 7 + 8n
To find :
Sum of 5th term and 15th term = ?
Solution :
Given that nth term is 7 + 8n
Then, 5th term = 7 + 8 × 5 = 7 + 40 = 47
& 15th term = 7 + 8 × 15 = 7 + 120 = 127
∴ the required sum of 5th term and 15th term
= 47 + 127 = 174
