Let Son's age be X
Sum of Ages=40
After 5 yrs sum will be 50(coz both of them age will be increased by 5)

A.T.G.C
50=x + 1/4x(Son's age is 1/4 of father's age)
50=4x+1/4(L.C.M of 1 and 4)
50=5x/4
50*4=5x(Taking 4 to Left)
200=5x
x=200/5
x=40
Before 5 yrs Father's Age i.e. present age=40-5=35

Hope it helps..if yes...please Mark As Brainliest
