Sum of ages of father and his son is 60 years while difference is 30 years what is the father's age

Hey!!!....Here is ur answer

Let the age of father is x then the age of son will be = 60-x

Now the difference is,

x-(60-x)=30

=> x-60+x=30

=> 2x=90

=> x=45

So the age of father is 45 years

Then according to the given condition,

x + y = 60
&
x - y = 30

Solving the two equations simultaneously we get,

x + y = 60
x - y = 30

2x = 90
x = 45

Substituting the value of x in any of the two equations,

x + y = 60
45 + y = 60
y = 15

Hence, father's age is 45 years and son's age is 15 years
