Let alpha be 'n' and beta be 'm'
n +m= -b/a
So, n+m = 1/2 (from equation ).....(1)
nm=c/a
So, nm = -1......(2)
Now to form quadratic equation from 2n and 2m
2n+2m= 2(n+m)
From eq. 1
2(1/2)=2=2n+2m.....(3)
2n.2m=4nm
From eq. 2
4(-1)=-4=2n.2m....(4)
General formula for quadratic equation is
k[x2-(α+β)x+αβ]
So from eq 3 and 4
k[x2-2x-4]
