Hey there,

Let the angle be 90 - x

Then it's complement is x as they are complementary angles

Complementary angles are two angles who sum is a right angle.

Given,

Sum of an angle and half of its compliment = 65 degree.

90 - x +( x/2 ) = 65

x/2 - x = 65 - 90

x - 2x/2 = -25

-x/2 = -25

-x = -50

x = 50 .

The required angle is 90 - x = 90 - 50 = 40°

Hope helped!
