Side of the square be x and y

Now ar of two square =x sq and y sq

Sum =640

x sq +y sq =240. (1)

Now sum of perimeter =16

4x+4y=16

Dividing by 4 we get

x+y=4

y=4-x

Putting in (1)

X sq +(4-x)sq =640

Xsq +16+xsq-8x=640

2xsq -8x-624=0

Taking 2common

Xsq -4x-312=0

On solving the equation you will get the answer

Hope it helps you
