Sum of digits of a two digit number is 6. Four times this number is seven times the

number obtained by reversing the order of the digits. Find the number.​

Answer:

Let the two digits be x and y

x+y=6----(1)

The number is 10x+y and reverse is 10y+x

4(10x+y)=7(10y+x)

40x+4y=70y+7x

33x-66y=0

x-2y=0-----(2)

From (1) &(2)

x+y=6

x-2y=0

-----------

3y=6

-----------

y=2

then, x=4

Hence the number is 42
