The Numbers are -

  • 36
  • 38
  • 40
  • 42

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Step-by-step-explanation:}}}}

Given:

The Numbers are = Consecutive even numbers

Sum is = 156

To find :

The Numbers

Solution :

Consider the numbers as -

  • x
  • (x + 2)
  • (x + 4)
  • (x + 6)

\bigstar{\green{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\sf{x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)=156}}}}}}}

\sf{\longrightarrow x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)=156} \\ \\  \sf{\longrightarrow4x } + 12 = 156 \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow 4x = 156 - 12} \\ \\  \sf{\longrightarrow4x = 144} \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow \: x =  \frac{144}{4}} \\  \\  \sf{\longrightarrow \: x = 36}

One Number = 36

\rule{300}{1.5}

Value of (x + 2)

\sf{ =36 + 2} \\ \sf{ =38}

Second Number = 38

\rule{300}{1.5}

Value of (x + 4)

\sf{ =36 + 4}\\ \sf{ =40}

Third Number = 40

\rule{300}{1.5}

Value of (x + 6)

\sf{ =36 + 6} \\ \sf{ =42}

Fourth Number = 42

\therefore The Numbers are -

  • 36
  • 38
  • 40
  • 42

\sf{Hello,Brainly\:User}

The four consecutive number:-

  1. (y)
  2. (y + 2)
  3. (y + 4)
  4. (y + 6)

According to question

Sum of four consecutive even number is 156 we have to find the numbers.

Hence:-

Using Identity

\tiny\bf⟹ y + (y + 2) + (y + 4) + (y + 6) = 156

So,

\sf⟹ y + (y + 2) + (y + 4) + (y + 6) = 156 \\  \sf⟹ (4y + 12 = 156) \\ \sf⟹  (4y = 156 - 12) \\ \sf  ⟹( 4y = 144) \\  \sf⟹( y =  \frac{144}{4})

 \bf⟹ (y = 36)

Hence,

Adding values for (y + 2 )

 </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>s</strong><strong>f</strong><strong>⟹</strong><strong> 36 + 2 = 38

Adding values for (y + 4)

 </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>s</strong><strong>f</strong><strong>⟹</strong><strong> 36 + 4 = 40

Adding values for (y + 6)

</strong><strong>\</strong><strong>s</strong><strong>f</strong><strong>⟹</strong><strong>36 + 6 = 42

Therefore, 36,38,40,42 are the numbers
