Sum of Rs 1750 is divided into two equal parts such that the interest on the first part is 8%p.a and that on the second part is 6 % p.a. What will be the total interest received in a year ? *

Answer:

principal=1750/2=875

interest on first part

875*8*1/100=70

interest on second part

875*6*1/100=52.50

total interest=70+52.50

=122.50
