Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :-

Let the side of one square be x.

And the side of other square be (x + 6).

Sum of Areas = 468 m²

According to the Question,

⇒ x² + (x + 6)² = 468

⇒ 2x² + 12x - 432 = 0

⇒ x² + 6x - 216 = 0

⇒ x² + 18x - 12x - 216 = 0

⇒ x(x + 18) - 12(x + 18) = 0

⇒ (x - 12)(x + 18) = 0

⇒ x = 12, - 18 (As x can't be negative)

x = 12

Side of 1st square = x = 12 m

Side of 2nd square = x + 6 = 12 + 6 = 18 m

Hence, the sides of the squares are 12 m and 18 m.
