That's a classical question !
Let side of squares be x and y cm respectively.
Then,
x² + y² = 400 ----- (i)
And,
4y - 4x = 16
y = 4+x
Put this value in (i),
> x² + (4+x)² = 400
> x² + 16 + x² + 8x = 400
> 2x² + 8x = 384
> x² + 4x = 192
Solve the equation and you will get x, and then put that in (i), you will get the sides !
