let perimeter of 1 square be x

then the perimeter of the second square will be 16 + x..

side= Perimeter/4.

area of square of side²

so, side of square 1 will be x/4 and side of other square will be 16+x/4.

A.T.Q

16+x+x÷4 =400

~ 16+2x= 400×4

2x= 1600-16

x= 1584/2 = 792...

so perimeter of square one is 792 centimetre.

suicide will be 792/4= 198 cm

and side of other will be 16+ 792/4

=808/4= 202 cm
