sum of the digits of a 2-digit number is 6. If the digits of the numbers are reversed, the new no. is decreased by 36. Find the number.

Answer:

let the digit in one place be x and the digit in tens place bey

b. t. p

x+y=6 ....... i

the original number is 10y+x

the reversed number is 10x+ y

b. t. p (10y+x) -(10x+y) =36

10y-y+x-10x=36

9y-9x=36

9(x-y) =36

x-y=4....... ii

by adding I and ii we get

2x= 10x=5

from I y=6-5

=1

the number is

10x1 +5

=15
