let the two digit no. be 10x+y

a.t.q.

x+y= 11-------1)

and,

10x+y - (10y+x)= 9

10x+y - 10y- x= 9

9x- 9y = 9. ( 9 is common )

x - y= 1-----2)

from 1&2

x+y=11

x-y= 1

2x=12

x=6

put the value of x in eq. 2

x-y=1

6-y =1

-y= 1-6

-y = -5

y= 5
