we know,

sum of the digits = 12

therefore, x + x = 12

2x = 12

x = 12/2

x= 6

therefore the no. formed is 66.

b) let the digit at tens place = x

digit at unit place = 2x -3 ( as it is said in the question 3 less than 2 times of the digit at the tens)

thus, 2x - 3 + x = 12

2x + x = 12 + 3

3x = 15

x = 15/3

x = 5

the no. at tens place = 5

no. at unit place = 2 × 5 - 3

= 7

therefore, no. formed is 57.
