Sum of the digits of a two digit number is 12.If 18 is added to the original number then the digits are interchanged. Write the two Linear Equations representing the above situation.

let the no is : 10x + y.
Here given :
x + y = 12..........(1)
Then now

10x + y +18 = 10y + x........(2)
10y-y = 10x-x +18
9y = 9x +18

As the number is two digit number, we can write the number as:10x+y
Then according to the question,
x+y=12.............(1)
If 18 is added to the original number then the digite are interchanged, the equation will be;
10x+y+18=x+10y
then, 10x+y-10y=18
then, 9x-9y=18
then, x-y=2.........(2)
