Step-by-step explanation:

As it is 2 digit no. let it be 10x+y

given:

x+y=5 ->(i)

as we are interchanging the digits 10x becomes 10y and y becomes x as follows:

10x+y-(10y+x) =27

9x-9y=27

9(x-y)=27

x-y=3 ->(ii)

from eq. (i)

x=5-y ->(III)

sub. on eq. (ii)

5-y-y=3=>-2y=3-5=> y=-2/-2

y=1

sub. y value in eq. (I)

hence, x=4

ANS:- x=4 and y=1
