Sum of the digits of a two-digit number is 9.

When we interchange the digits, it is found that the resulting new number is greater than the original number by 45.

What is the two-digit number?​

Answer:

let,

x and y be the two digits

x+y=9

x=9-y

According to question,

10x+y=first digit number

so,

when the digits interchanged,

10y+x

Now,

10x+y+45=10y+x

10x-x+45=10y-y

9x+45=9y

in the above

x=9-y

Now,

9(9-y)+45=9y

81-9y+45=9y

81+45=18y

18y=126

y=126/18

y=7

therefore,

x=9-7

=2

therefore the original number is

10x+y=20+7

=27

therefore the two digit number is 27
