Answer:

the original no. = 59

Step-by-step explanation:

let the units digit be x

Therefore, tens digit = 10(14–x)

orginal no. = 140- 10x + x

= 140-9x

ATP,

when the digits are interchanged,

the new number formed= 10x + 14-x

= 9x + 14

but the new number formed is greater than the original no. by 36

=> (9x-14) - (140-9x)=36

=>18x-126=36

=>18x=36+126=162

x= 162/18 = 9

thus, the original no. is 59

hope this helped
