Sum of the digits of two digit number is 9 when we interchange the digit it is found that the resulting new number is greater than the original number by 27 what is the two digit number?(with one variable)

Answer:

Let the unit digit be x and ten's digit be y.

Then, Number = 10y + x

Sum of digits = x +y = 9 --> ( i )

Also,

10x + y - 10y - x = 27

9x - 9y = 27

x - y = 3 --> ( ii )

Adding i and ii,.

2x = 12

x = 6

Putting value of x in ii,

6 - y = 3

y = 6 - 3 = 3

❇️ x = 6, y = 3 ❇️

Number = 30 + 6 =36

❇️ Number = 36 ❇️
