Answer:

let numerator be x

then denominator will 12-x

When 3 is added:-

denominator=15-x

fraction=1/2

x/15-x=1/2

2x=15-x

2x+x=15

3x=15

x=15/3

x=5

fraction =NUM./DEN.

Fraction =x/12-x

Fraction = 5/7

Hey mate !! Here you go  :-

Let the required fraction be \frac{x}{y}. Then,

x+y=12..... (1)

And, \frac{x}{y+3} = \frac{1}{2}

2x-y=3 ......(2)

On adding Equation 1 and 2,we get,

x=5

Putting x=5 in equation 1,we get,

y=7

Therefore, the required fraction is \frac{5}{7}
