i.e, x + y = 28 .... ( i )

Also, Rohan's age is 4 years less than thrice Rohit's

x = 3y - 4 .... ( ii )

  • Putting value of the x from ii in i

3y - 4 +y = 28

4y = 32

y = 8

Also, x + y = 28 => x = 28 - 8 = 20

So, the Age of Rohan ( x ) is 20 years !!

and that of Rohit's Age ( y ) is 8 years !!
