1st and 2nd Number

Let,

  • 1st no be x

  • 2nd no be y

According to Question :-

  • => x + y = 153. --(1)

  • => x - y = 7. ---(2)

From (1) , We substitute value of x

We get,

  • => x + y = 153

  • => x = 153 - y

Put this value in (2), we get,

  • => x - y = 7

  • => ( 153 - y) - y = 7

  • => 153 - y - y = 7

  • => -2y = 7 - 153

  • => -2y = -146

  • => y = -146/-2 = 73

So,

  • => x = 153 - y

  • => x = 153 -73 = 80

Hence,

  • 1st no = 80

  • 2nd no = 73
