Given :

  • 3x² - 2x - 8

To Find :

  • Sum of zeroes of given polynomial

Solution :

→ 3x² - 2x - 8 = 0

→ 3x² - 6x + 4x - 8 = 0

→ 3x ( x - 2 ) + 4 ( x - 2 ) = 0

→ ( 3x + 4 ) ( x - 2 ) = 0

When 3x + 4 = 0

→ x = - 4/3

When x - 2 = 0

→ x = 2

Sum pf zeroes

→ - 4/3 + 2

→ ( - 4 + 6 ) / 3

→ 2/3
