Answer:

let the integer be x

three consecutive integers will be

x, X+1 and X+2

their sum is 24 (given)

so,

x+X+1+X+2=24

3x+3=24

3x=24-3

x=21/3

x=7

so three consecutive integers are

7

7+1=8

7+2=9

hope it helps

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Answer :-}}}

The 3 consecutive numbers which sum up 24 are 7, 8, and 9.

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Explanation :-}}}

Given :

The sum of the 3 consecutive numbers = 24

To find :

The numbers

Solution :

Consecutive numbers are the numbers which are in order and from smaller to larger value.

Example :- 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ....

\rule{300}{1}

Consider the first numbers as x

Second number as x + 1

Third Number as x + 2

Equation :

\boxed{\sf{x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 24}}

\sf{\implies} \: x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 24

\sf{\implies} \: x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 24

\sf{\implies} \: 3x + 3 = 24

\sf{\implies} \: 3x = 24 - 3

\sf{\implies} \: 3x = 21

\sf{\implies} \: x = \dfrac{21}{3}

\sf{\implies} \: 7

Value of x + 1

\sf{\implies} \: 7 + 1

\sf{\implies} \: 8

Value of x + 2

\sf{\implies} \: 7 + 2

\sf{\implies} \: 9

\therefore The 3 consecutive numbers which sum up 24 are 7, 8, and 9.

\rule{300}{1}

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Verification :-}}}

\sf{\implies} \: 7 + 8 + 9 = 24

\sf{\implies} \: 15 + 9 = 24

\sf{\implies} \: 24 =24

\therefore The 3 consecutive numbers which sum up 24 are 7, 8, and 9.
