Let the three consecutive number be x, x + 1 and x + 2 respectively.


Find the value of x :-

=> x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 18
=> 3x + 3 = 18
=> 3x = 18 - 3
=> 3x = 15
=> x = 15/3 = 5

Therefore,
First number = x = 5
Second number = x + 1 = 5 + 1 = 6
Third number = x + 2 = 5 + 2 = 7



Answer : The three consecutive numbers are 5, 6 and 7 respectively.
