Step-by-step explanation:

Let the three consecutive natural numbers be x, (x + 1) and (x + 2). (x + 2) = 16 + 2 = 18. Therefore, the consecutive natural numbers are 16, 17 and 18 which add up to be 51.

Let x, (x+1) , (x+2) are three consecutive integers

\therefore x + (x+1) + (x+2) = 51

\rightarrow 3x + 3 = 51

\rightarrow 3x = 48

\rightarrow x = 16

_____________________________________

\therefore x = 16 ; (x+1) = 17 ; (x+2) = 18
