Answer:

hey!

Step-by-step explanation:

question :- sum of three termsvof Ap is 18 and this product is 120 then find three terms

let first term be a

the term before a = a-d

the term after a = a+d

ATQ,

a +a-d+a+d = 18

3a = 18

a = 6

given product is 120

∴ a×(a+d)(a-d) = 120

a×(a)²- ad² = 120

a³ -a d² = 120

216 - 120 = 6d²

6d² = 96

d² = 16

d = 4

∴ the ap is 2,6,10

SOLUTION:-

Given:

Sum of three terms of A.P. is 18.

So,

a-d, a, a+d

Sum:

=) a-d+a+a+d = 18

=) 3a = 18

=) a=18/3

=) a= 6

Terms= 6 -d, 6, 6+d

And,

Product= 6(36 -d²)= 120

=) 36- d² = 20

=) d²= 36 -20

=) d² = 16

=) d = √16

=) d= 4

Terms= 2, 6, 10

Hope it helps ☺️
