let one number be x
another will be x+1
therefore
x+x+1=53
2x+1=53
2x=53-1
x=52/2
x=26
x+1=26+1
=27
there for the two numbers are 26 and 27
another will be x+1
therefore
x+x+1=53
2x+1=53
2x=53-1
x=52/2
x=26
x+1=26+1
=27
there for the two numbers are 26 and 27

Given
sum of two consecutive natural numbers is 53 .
Find out the linear equation in one variable.
To proof
Consecutive Number
Consecutive number are the number that follow eachother in the numbers
example = x , x+1, x+2......
Let us assume that the one number = n
other consecutive number be = n + 1
As given
sum of two consecutive natural numbers is 53 .
than the linear equation become in the form
n + n +1 = 53
2n + 1 = 53
on solving the above equation
2n = 52
we get
n = 26
One number be = 26
therefore the other number be = 26 + 1
= 27
Hence proved
