Answer:

Let the smallest of two consecutive integer be x, thus other consecutive integer be x + 1.

As per the statement, sum of these two consecutive integers is 145. As such

x + x + 1 = 145

2x + 1 = 145

2x = 145 - 1

2x = 144

x = 144/2

x= 72

The smallest of two consecutive integers is 72. Other integer is

x + 1 = 72 + 1 = 73

Thus two consecutive integers are 72 and 73

Answer two consecutive integers are 72 and 73
